A candlelit plate of seasonal food on a linen-set table in a dim dining room

Est. 2014 · Fireside Dining

A table set by the season, cooked over wood.

Maison Laurel is a small, produce-led kitchen in the old market quarter. Each night we build a short menu around what arrives at the door that morning.

Our Story

A neighbourhood room built around one fire.

We opened Maison Laurel in a former grain merchant’s hall with a single idea: cook honestly, over open flame, and let the ingredient lead. Mornings begin at the market and the farm gate; by evening those same crates become the night’s menu.

The dining room seats thirty-eight. There is no second sitting rush and no long wine list to wade through — just a considered handful of bottles, a hearth at the centre of the room, and food meant to be shared slowly.

In the Kitchen

“I don’t want you to remember a technique. I want you to remember the smell of the fire and the person across the table.”
